The Back Slash (バックスラッシュ, Bakku Surasshu), referred to early on in the series as the Backflip, is one of Vega's unique attacks, introduced in the Street Fighter II series. In Street Fighter V, it is Vega's V-Reversal.

Description[]

Executed by pressing all three punch buttons (since Street Fighter II': Hyper Fighting), Vega performs a backflip. During the backflip, Vega is invincible to all attacks.

In Street Fighter II': Champion Edition, the move is executed by quickly double-tapping backward.

Introduced in Super Street Fighter II, a second version of the Back Slash, which is quicker and covers a shorter distance, is executed by pressing all three kick buttons.

Tactics[]

Back Slash can be used to avoid attacks and escape unfavorable situations. However, players should be careful in their use of the move and not become predictable, as they can be heavily punished during the move's recovery animation.
