Like most of his moveset, the move is from his appearance in Final Fight, where it drained his health with each use.
Executed by performing a quarter-circle backward motion and pressing kick, the Bushin Senpukyaku somewhat resembles the Tatsumaki, but with noticeable differences. Guy launches himself into the air, foot extended and spinning, rising a certain height.
The startup time, rising height and amount of hits all depend on the kick button pressed: light kick version lands one hit and does little damage but comes out instantly; medium kick version lands two hits with a fair amount of damage and a slight startup delay; and the heavy kick version takes the longest to come out but hits three times and does the most damage.
This move is best used at the end of combos or as an anti-air attack. In most cases, when used on the ground, it usually soars right over shorter characters, unless activated very close to a foe. This move also allows Guy to fly over any projectiles.
- In the Arcade Mode of Street Fighter Alpha 3, Guy has a special intro with Cody, where they both destroy some barrels; Guy uses the Final Fight version of his Bushin Senpukyaku (losing some health in the process), and picks up a food item on the ground near him to replenish the lost health.
