Summary[]
The 2016 Capcom Cup finals took place PlayStation Experience 2016.[2] Before the finals began, Capcom issued a ban on the Skies of Honor stage as players found out that it caused motion sickness and headaches for some, being the third stage to be prohibited in tournament play following The Grid and Kanzuki Beach.[3]
The total prize pool was $350,000 with Team Liquid-signed Du "NuckleDu" Dang winning first place receiving $230,000 in prize money. The runner-up was fellow veteran fighting game player and American, Ricki Ortiz.[4]
