Description
Executed by charging backwards then pressing forward and kick, Balrog will slide forward and do an uppercut, with an accompanying "rush of wind" background sound effect. The range depends on the kick button pressed; light kick version has the shortest range with least damage, while heavy kick version has the longest range with most damage, and medium kick version balances in-between them.
In the Street Fighter IV series, The EX Special version gives Balrog one point of Super Armor and has enough frame advantage on hit to combo into another attack.
Tactics
This move functions in a very similar fashion to the Dash Straight; however, the uppercut allows it to function as an anti-air attack when necessary. In the Street Fighter II series, a common tactic is to take advantage of the fact that unlike the Dash Straight, this attacks "whiffs" against opponents who are blocking low and the fact that Balrog recovers much more quickly on a whiff, to get close and throw the opponent before they knew what was happening.
