List of Loss Portrait Descriptions

This is a list of Loss Portrait descriptions in some of the Street Fighter games.

Street Fighter

• Ryu: Swollen cheek and bleeding mouth.

• Ken: Same as Ryu.

• Retsu: His cheek is swollen, and is bleeding from the mouth.

• Geki: Bleeding from the mouth, and appears to be missing a tooth.

• Joe: A bruised face, one eye is black, appears to be missing the other eye and is missing a pupil.

• Mike: Same as Joe, but is bleeding from the mouth.

• Lee: Swollen face, both pupils are gone, appear to have a dent on left side of his face.

• Gen: Swollen face and both pupils are missing.

• Birdie: Face is swollen, including lips, both pupils are missing.

• Eagle: Eye and face are swollen.

• Adon: Face is swollen, pupils are missing.

• Sagat: Dent on left cheek and swollen lips, as well as missing his pupil on his good eye.

Street Fighter II games

Street Fighter II

All characters from Street Fighter II (World Warrior to Turbo), have a defeated portrait

• Ryu: Swollen cheek, a scrape on both cheeks and a bleeding nose. During the Continue screen, he appears to be coughing.

• Ken: Same as Ryu but his eye is swollen and is missing a scrape. Also appears to be coughing like Ryu.

• E. Honda: Has a number of scrapes and cuts on his arm and face. Wiping blood from his face.

• Chun-Li: A bump on her forehead, she's crying with a visible stream of tears all the way down her cheek. During the Continue screen, she's wiping her tears.

• Blanka: Has a very scraped and bruised face, his eyes appear to be bulging out. Appears to be panting.

• Zangief: Has a very severely swollen face and cheek. He also has a gash on his eyebrow. Banging his head.

• Guile: Bloody nose and eyes rolled up in the head. During the Continue screen, he has a few bandages on him, blinking.

• Dhalsim: Few dents on face and head and a bleeding mouth. Shaking his head.

• Balrog: Lip is swollen, scrape on cheek, swollen eye. In Champion Edition, his loss portrait is updated to include more blood, along with his gloves becoming worn.

• Vega: Mask is shattered, his cheek and eye are swollen and a bleeding nose and mouth. His claw is also bent out of shape. In the SNES version, his bloody nose is brown. In Champion Edition, his bloody nose and mouth are white.

• Sagat: Missing pupil on his good eye, busted bloody lip, chipped tooth, and a gash above right eye.

• M.Bison: His whole face is massively swollen, bleeding on both sides of the mouth, teeth are almost all knocked out.

Super Street Fighter II

Character	Description
Ryu	Swollen eye and bleeding from the mouth. During the Continue screen, he is coughing.
Ken	Face is scraped severely.
Chun-Li	Bump in her forehead and light scrapes on her cheek, she's crying with a visible stream of tears all the way down her cheek. During the Continue screen, she's wiping her tears.
Dhalsim	Bumps on forehead and cheek, bleeding from mouth.
Blanka	His nose and mouth are bleeding.
Zangief	Bleeding eye and a bleeding mouth.
E. Honda	His mouth appears to be bleeding. In the Continue screen, he is grinding his teeth in anger and agony.
Guile	Bloody nose, blacked eye and a bleeding mouth. In the Continue screen, he is partially covering his face with his hand as if hiding his shame.
Dee Jay	Scraped face, and rather than smiling, is shrugging his shoulders with a dismayed expression.
Cammy	Bruised face and a few scraps on shoulder.
T. Hawk	Bruised face, bleeding nose and mouth. His feather is also destroyed.
Fei Long	Bleeding under eye.
Balrog	Bleeding from the mouth and has a swollen eye, with his boxing gloves worn out.
Vega	Bleeding with a number of scratches and scrapes, with his mask shattered and his claw prongs bent almost entirely out of shape.
Sagat	Bloody lip, a gash on side of the head, his good eye appears to be put out and blood running down his eyepatch.
M. Bison	Both eyes are bleeding heavily, crying in tears, cover in Psycho Power.

Street Fighter III games

Street Fighter III: New Generation

Character	Description
Ryu	On hands and knees, with a number of scrapes and bruises. Attempting to focus, but also lost in the passing course of events.
Ken	Sitting down, face is swollen severely, tooth is chipped and a bump on his left eye. In agony and grief.
Sean	Sitting on one arm, cheek is swollen, has a number of scratches. Determined but at loss in what to do.
Ibuki	On knees, a bump on forehead and has a number of scratches and appears to be crying.
Elena	On stomach holding head in pain, bleeding, eye is swollen shut, is crying.
Necro	Sitting down, holding his head, is scraped, knee is bloody, is crying.
Alex	Cut and scraped, spits out blood. Surprised, exhausted and struggles to get up.
Yun	Holding head, face covered in blood and eye is swollen shut. His hat is missing a piece. Disappointed, bewildered, and tired.
Yang	On hands and knees, bleeding. Exhausted and overwhelmed in a nervous sweat.
Dudley	Shirt and gloves are tattered, bleeding, is crying.
Oro	Both eyes are missing, looking tired with mouth gaping wide and in agony, as if he is disappointed and ashamed by his defeat. His body appears to be decomposing, as if his golden ki has left his body.

Street Fighter III: 2nd Impact

Character	Description
Hugo	Laying on back, cut and scraped, blacked eyes. Nose and face is bleeding. Unconscious.
Urien	Laying on the floor upright, cut and scraped severely, missing pupil. Stares off at the floor with his tongue out, bitten and swollen. Appears as if he is a "classical work of art" crafted by defeat.
Akuma	Shirt is torn off, sitting cross legged. Appears to be screaming in bewilderment and spitting out what appears to be blood; red blood is depicted in the Japanese version, green blood/"vomit" is shown internationally. Appears as if to be meditating and having been "enlightened" by his defeat.
Gill	Struggling to get up, bruises all over body. His appearance gives the impression of being humbled and "bowing" on his knees.
