Street Fighter V Arcade-Button-HPunch+Arcade-Button-HKick

Description[]

Executed by performing two quarter-circle forward motions and pressing punch, the attack begins with Oro placing both fingers vertically below his chin as a hand seal and telekinetically summons about three floating stray objects (mostly stones) around him. The objects stay with him for ten seconds, during which time any attack he makes will be accompanied by further hits from these flying objects.

The Tengu Midareishi (天狗乱石? "Tengu Disorder Stone") also known as EX Tengu Stone, is essentially the same attack, but more intense. Executed by performing two quarter-circle forward motions and pressing two punch buttons, Oro bows and stretches out both arms and brings his hands to his head to form the hand seal. The attack summons 5 objects that float freely around him, but lasts only 5 seconds.

Tactics[]

Unlike his other Super Arts, Tengu Stone's two forms are more balanced with one another, giving Oro effectively two useful Super Arts at a time. The standard Tengu Stone's longer duration lets Oro sustain a relentless offense that is difficult to parry and damaging on block. However, each object adds to Oro's juggle potential, meaning that his combos are often cut short and act more akin to powerful pokes. Overall, Tengu Stone gives Oro incredible, safe pressure at the cost of raw damage.

TenguStone

In contrast to the regular Tengu Stone, Tengu Midareishi resets the juggle potential of Oro's attacks on hit, effectively giving Oro infinite juggle potential while it is active. During these combos, Oro can chain attacks like his Standing Heavy Kick repeatedly, dealing incredible damage and even stunning his opponent for another massive combo. However, its short duration means that it is often only available for one combo, making it more useful as a super cancel than a raw activation. In effect, this means it should be treated in a similar manner as most characters' Super Arts, a powerful combo finisher off a confirmed hit.

Worth noting is that Oro's objects are randomized, with slight hitbox differences between them. While it often does not often factor into Oro's usual stun combos, certain setups can lead to unorthodox confirms and even unblockables.

In Street Fighter V, Tengu Stone and Tengu Midare Stone drain the meter following a successful hit, one for every object summoned. The stones also move in a more controlled fashion, attacking opponents after various special moves to grant stronger juggle opportunities. Tengu Stone does not add to the juggle count of attacks, allowing Oro to perform stronger combos from his standard starters without them falling out.

The standard stones deal 10 damage, gain 10 of EX meter on hit and no stun, while certain rare objects can appear with varying properties. They include:

  • A Blanka-chan doll, which electrocutes the opponent, deals 15 stun, gain 20 EX meter on hit and recovers 10 frames of the V-Timer.
  • Kolin's Book of Miraha, which freezes the opponent and deals 5 damage and 20 stun.
  • Sean's basketball, gain 30 EX meter on hit instead of 10.
  • A clay dinosaur, which deals 10 stun and recovers 20 frames of the V-Timer on hit.
  • A CPSP game system, which burns the opponent and deals 20 damage.
