The Audio / Video part runs off a CPS1 board that is driven by additional I/O boards via the Jamma connector rather than joysticks inputs being connected directly.
Currently the mechanical part is not simulated and the game thinks the moles are always 'hit' meaning you score maximum points.
The lamps along the bottom are driven by the additional board.
