Love Me Tender (ラブミーテンダー Rabu Mii Tendaa?) is one of Poison's special attacks, introduced in Ultra Street Fighter IV. This move is based on her appearance in Final Fight, where Poison and Roxy would perform an acrobatic flip kick.

Executed by performing a quarter-circle backward motion and pressing kick, Poison leaps forward and performs a flipping axe kick. By pressing kick after hitting her opponent with this move, Poison can follow up with a reverse Frankensteiner.
The EX Special version has the initial strike hit twice, and its followup throw deals twice the damage.

The strength of the kick button pressed determines the move's startup, distance traveled, and damage inflicted. The Light version traverses a distance of little ahead of Poison. While it inflicts the least damage, it has the fastest startup. The Medium version has a longer startup, but inflicts more damage and covers 15% of the screen. The Heavy version through half of the screen. While it has the most damage, it has the longest startup, giving her opponent an opportunity to intercept it. The EX version through the same distance from the Heavy version. During this version, Poison is invincible to projectiles, making it a solid tool against other zoning characters. In Street Fighter V, the EX version is an overhead. Because of its quick startup, it can surprise the opponent; making it a go-to move to end a round.
Love Me Tender can be used as a combo starter, though the follow-up can be used for guaranteed damage.
The move can break armor, and is an overall good choice for both evading ground or mid-height attacks and closing distances through the air, though Poison risks being intercepted. The follow-up throw is unavoidable if it connects, giving the move solid damage output. This attack can be used after a EX Whip of Love or a Heavy Aeolus Edge.

- The grab followup is a reverse Frankensteiner, a variant of the Frankensteiner that has the wrestler perform the headscissors while facing the same direction as their opponent. This also resembles the Poison Hurricanrana, a similar technique that ends in a pin. The etymology of the move is unknown, though it has been speculated that it was coined to contrast the normal Hurricanrana, referring to them as poison in reference to 'rana' meaning frog in Spanish.
