"Go! Genei Jin! (いくぜ! 幻影陣! Iku ze! Genei Jin!?)"
Yun

The Genei Jin (幻影陣 Gen'ei Jin?, "Phantom Array") is one of Yun's special attacks, introduced as his third Super Art in the Street Fighter III series. It returns as his Super Combo in Super Street Fighter IV: Arcade Edition.

Yang formerly utilized this Super Art until replacing it with Seiei Enbu from 2nd Impact onwards.

Description

Genei Jin

Yun starting up the move against Chun-Li in Super Street Fighter IV: Arcade Edition.

Executed by performing two quarter-circle forward motions and pressing punch, Yun briefly pauses to gather his ki in a flash ("Go!"), with the Super Gauge turning into a timer as he calls the move's name.

While the technique is active, blue afterimages of Yun follow behind him and echo everything he does split-seconds later, but they do not hit the opponent. Via in-game for its duration, Yun's recovery time is cut for several of his normals (which allow for devastating links) and special moves (which also gain a notable increase in extra properties, such as his Zesshou Hohou doing multiple hits). Above all, the juggling properties on all of his offensive/damaging attacks increase greatly as well for the said duration, unlike other custom combo-based supers.

Yang possesses a similar Super Art known as Seiei Enbu.

Tactics

The move allows Yun to more easily string attacks together into combos with infinite juggling, working very similarly to a Custom Combo. The technique itself can be started in the middle of a combo, allowing Yun to conserve his Super Gauge for when he knows it will connect.

Unlike his brother's Seiei Enbu, his attacks take on different properties in the sense that it can be stringed together without knocking down an enemy. Many of his attacks also become faster. Most of the time combos in this state have great effect in the corner.
