Goutetsu

Added by CheElmoGoutetsu (轟鉄 Gōtetsu?, "Roaring Iron") is a non-player character in the Street Fighter video game series. According to the backstory introduced in Super Street Fighter II Turbo, he is the martial arts master of Akuma and Gouken, who trained them in the same martial art style they used. The style would become the basis of Ryu and Ken's fighting style. Goutetsu was killed in battle by his own student, Akuma, who performed the Shun Goku Satsu (Instant Hell Murder or Raging Demon) on him in an honorable death match. The prayer beads that Akuma wears originally belonged to Goutetsu. Like Gouken, Goutetsu can be seen in Akuma's ending in the original Street Fighter Alpha in his first and only on-screen appearance in the series. Goutetsu was also seen in the Street Fighter Alpha Generations movie and is shown fighting Akuma at the start and is seen having short hair, a very small body and being quite short. Goutetsu has also used the Satsui no Hadou like his student Akuma, but unlike Akuma, he didn't lose any of his humanity (it is most likely that he also valued the peaceful aspects of the art as well as the violent aspects of the art).
Goutetsu's name comes from Street Fighter II: The Animated Movie (which was produced at the same time as Super Turbo), where it is the name given to Ryu and Ken's master. Capcom adapted the name Goutetsu for Gouken and Akuma's master, instead of being another name for Gouken.

Edit
- Goutetsu appears in the online flash game "Muay Thai 2" as the final unlockable character. He has the largest moveset of all characters, which includes Hadouken, Shoryuken, Tatsumaki, variations of these and several other moves. Goutetsu, like the other characters (except for the main character), has an unlockable stronger form, which is called "Shin Goutetsu". In this form, all of his moves are amplified, making him even more powerful.
