Hado Shoryuken

Ken performing the Hado Shoryuken.

The Hado Shoryuken (波動・昇龍拳, Hadō Shōryūken, "Surge Rising Dragon Fist") is an attack used by Ken during the events of Street Fighter II Victory. The name is later used for one of Ryu's special attacks in Ultimate Marvel vs. Capcom 3.

DescriptionEdit

Street Fighter II VictoryEdit

After having been kidnapped by M. Bison, Ken discovers that he can channel ki in a manner similar to Ryu. While spending some time developing the skill, he also gains psychic abilities, sensing Ryu being taken over by the cyber chip. Ken gathers his energy, but it threatens to explode out of his body, forcing him to focus the energy; his thoughts then turn to his previous opponent Vega performing his Izuna Drop, and he leaps into the air with a Shoryuken so powerful that it blasts right through the ceiling, emitting an explosive powerful beam of energy that shot into the sky.[1]

Ultimate Marvel vs. Capcom 3Edit

In Ultimate Marvel vs. Capcom 3, Ryu performs a Shoryuken that is powered up with the blue energy commonly seen in his Hadoken. When it hits, the strike sends a Hadoken that fires directly up, striking the already airborne opponent.[2]
