Executed by performing a quarter-circle forward motion and pressing kick, the "attack" is simply a high-speed dash which briefly leaves behind an afterimage or Ibuki-shaped dust cloud. How far the dash goes is determined by the kick button pressed: light kick goes the least distance, medium kick goes further and heavy kick goes furthest. However, the further the dash goes, the more startup and recovery time it takes.
This is one of the very few moves in the Street Fighter universe that have no EX Special version.
The true usefulness of the dash is that it can go right past the opponent, which allows for confusing cross-up situations.
