In the 1994 movie Street Fighter, Shadaloo is a fictional nation in Southeast Asia that borders Thailand to the east. The country occupies the eastern segment of Myanmar. At one point most of the country was controlled by rebels backed by a criminal organization led by M. Bison. The Allied Nations were able to hold Shadaloo's capital, "Shadaloo City" from M. Bison's forces' repeated attacks to try and retake the city.
The country also appeared in the American animated series, where it is ruled by Sagat. Here, the country appears to be located in South America (possibly a nod to Shadaloo's presence in South America in the Alpha series) instead of Southeastern Asia.

- The "Shadaloo" alphabet in the 1994 movie is based on a distorted version of the Thai alphabet, while their national flag is based on the flag of Democratic Kampuchea.
