Fei Long scorching his opponent with Shienkyaku.

Executed by performing a "Shoryuken" motion (forward, downward then down-forward) and pressing kick, Fei Long focuses all of his power into his foot, and revolves it around his body, leaping upwards and kicking vertically in a high rapid spiral as he ignites his leg. The height the kick reaches is determined by the kick button pressed.

The EX Special version introduced in Street Fighter IV hits three times ("It's over!") and has a very short window of startup invincibility.

Tactics[]

The attack can be used as a reliable anti-air attack, similarly to the Shoryuken. The move is best used to finish combos, and its EX version is a very reliable wake-up move.

Also, unlike most anti-air specials, Fei Long often takes a step back to where he once started to peform the attack, forcing more of the longer ranged pokes to try to punish it on block, which can be especially strong for the light kick version.
