Description[]
Executed by performing a Shoryuken motion? and pressing kick, Hugo leaps forward into the air to grab an airborne foe; if successful, Hugo will perform a rack hold on the opponent before falling for an Argentine backbreaker drop, throwing them off afterwards.
The EX Special version grants invulnerability and has no startup time.
Tactics[]
The opponent cannot quick stand after it, giving Hugo time to perform his taunt.[1] It is primarily used as an anti-air when the opponent jumps in, and is also useful for following up on an Ultra Throw.

Trivia[]
- In Street Fighter IV, one of Guile's air throws, the Flying Buster Drop, looks somewhat similar to the Shootdown Backbreaker.
