Street Fighter V developed by Capcom, Epic Games and Sony Computer Entertainment... This is the reason why that game will be released only on PS4 and PC. Akuma-sf3-tauntMuhammadrizkya 20:14, December 21, 2014 (UTC)

I hope that in time there will be more street fighter games for xbox.--Aang13 (talk) 21:12, August 14, 2015 (UTC)

Unconfirmed rumors[]

http://www.neogaf.com/forum/showpost.php?p=143883934&postcount=24

Unconfirmed rumors of SFV details which comes from Youtube user Ken Bogard (in a video which is now been set to private).

  • Release date is 2016, before the end of the fiscal year.
  • Time and Weather effects in stages.
  • The new mechanic is named V-Trigger : You can change your stance.
  • 16 characters.
  • No Super Street Fighter 2X + EX (updates kinda like League of Legends or Killer Instinct).
  • A story mode that will be "very good".
  • The PC version was made mostly because they want to bring SFV to Latin America, South Asia, Africa.

I know these are just rumors and the credibility of this Ken Bogard can always be questioned but its worth noting that he was the one who confirmed the use of the Unreal Engine 4 the day before it was officially announced as well as revealing the PS4 console exclusivity part and the Street Fighter announcement date weeks in advance which is the only reason I posted these rumors here. Still, take it with a huge grain of salt.--195.67.78.50 09:41, December 22, 2014 (UTC)

That 16 characters thing is a lie. Ken Bogard himself deconfirmed it to a certain extent after a YouTuber asked about it.

Opinion[]

I beleive SFV wont have supers from SFIII or any other game for that matter. Firstly, Ryu's Shinku Hadouken (真空波動拳) and Chun-Li's Senretsukyaku (千裂脚), which are usually used as their Supers, were used as their Ultras. Also, their (what used to be) Super meters are now used for the "power-ups' (Electricity for Ryu and Water for Chun-Li). on the topic of the Denjin Hadouken seen in the trailer, i beleive it is a "powered-up'/electrified version of the Shinku Hadouken. —Preceding unsigned comment added by RealDeathCo. (talkcontribs)

Doubtful IMO - Street Fighter X Tekken used the Ultra Combo camera effects with its Super Arts, including Chun-Li. As for the Shinku/Denjin note, I'll look into that. --FFVAExdeathmenu Lord G. matters. Talk to me. FFVAExdeathmenu 02:45, January 6, 2015 (UTC)

If only the announcement trailer existed, you would be correct. However, there is a live match between, who i think is, Combofiend and Daigo. In this match, the revenge gauge is depleted when Ryu uses a Shinku Hadouken or when Chun-Li uses a Senretsukyaku, which rises the probability of them being Ultras by a LOT. Also, Chun-Li uses a 'powered-up'/water-ified Senretsukyaku, which confirms the use of 'powered-up' Ultras. —Preceding unsigned comment added by RealDeathCo. (talkcontribs)

Works for me - though I can't say for sure whether or not they'll leave out any SFIII moves yet. At any rate, you (or anyone reading this) can probably go ahead and correct the relevant details about the Denjin Hadoken in the articles it's mentioned (if it hasn't been already). --FFVAExdeathmenu Lord G. matters. Talk to me. FFVAExdeathmenu 22:47, January 7, 2015 (UTC)

I would love to see ALL the characters from the first game up to Ultra Street Fighter IV including the Alpha series, Street Fighter EX (series) and The Movie. Natedawg921 (talk) 20:37, May 7, 2015 (UTC)

We need voice actors from a previous game alongside seiyuus[]

I know that this fighting game doesn't have English voice actors yet, but Japanese seiyuus are available. Well then, here are some voice actors from the previous installment you want to know about, especially Birdie and Charlie because of determination I don't know.

  • Ryu - Kyle Hebert
  • Chun-Li - Laura Bailey
  • Charlie Nash - Travis Willingham?
  • M. Bison - Gerald C. Rivers
  • Cammy White - Caitline Glass
  • Birdie - Patrick Seitz?

Akuma?[]

I'm pretty sure that the character shown at the end of Ken's trailer in Master Bison style is actually Akuma and not a new character. By the time of Street Fighter V, Akuma would look quite similar, if not exactly like, to the character we saw revealed. I would've put it in the article however I did not wish to start an editing war. —Preceding unsigned comment added by RealDeathCo. (talkcontribs)

Its a new character, Necalli.--195.67.78.50 07:44, July 20, 2015 (UTC)

Necalli's Nationality?[]

Do we know what Necalli's actual nationality? Because I know he's supposedly based off an Aztec warrior. I'm thinking either American or Mexican. Does anyone know for sure?

Grammar Error[]

The Gameplay and Features section reads as follows:

The overall gameplay appears to be toned down from Street Fighter IV: attack animations appear a bit more slower, and the character art and models are redesigned to feel more realistic. Revenge Gauges and possible Super Arts were features originally shown at the Capcom Cup; the latter appears to have been scrapped, while the Super Art appears to have been retooled in the form of the Critical Art.

Using latter in that context suggests that the Super Arts appear to have both been scrapped and retooled into the Critical Arts, which doesn't make much sense. If the "latter" is meant to refer to the Revenge Gauges, then it should be changed to the former, or else the "while the Super Arts" should be changed to "and" to avoid confusion and redundancy. Arawn 999 (talk) 17:54, August 27, 2015 (UTC)

Also, "a bit more slower" is not correct grammar. Either one must write more slowly or else slower. It is not correct to use both the adjective form slower and the superlative qualifier more. Arcade version[]

It is said that Capcom recently announced an arcade version of the game, any official source on this? I know there is a link to EventHubs reporting this but their source is appearently just based off a tip from a random user from their website, so I don't find them reliable.--195.67.78.50 07:27, October 19, 2016 (UTC)

  • There's a Twitch archive of the announcement linked on the EventHubs page, which should have it (haven't watched it in question, so I can't verify whether it's true or not, going to assume it is, though). Apparently it's not so much an arcade port as it is stations running the PC version of the game that will be placed in arcades. BubbleRevolution (talk) 14:41, October 19, 2016 (UTC)

Next season 2 DLC fighter[]

Rumor: 'Super' coming soon[]

To the surprise of well, no one considering the games' history, a recent rumor states that a Super Street Fighter V is in development, but as a free major update instead of a standalone installment like previous times. Among returning (and new) features it will have an Arcade Mode. The remaining season two fighters are said to be Final Fight thug Abigial, new character Menat (that purple haired girl from Ed's story) and Guy's old teacher Zeku. The season three fighters are said to be Sagat, Sakura, Oro, C. Viper, Q, and Necro. Here is the link.109.228.130.5 13:17, June 10, 2017 (UTC)

Final DLC for Season 2 and some ideas for Season 3 DLC or update[]

Update: Zeku is already confirmed for a Season 2 DLC Fighters.

And now here's my ideas for Season 3 DLC fighters or game update (like Ultra Street Fighter IV). Most of mine are non-playable characters that never been playable since or returning playable characters.

Non-playable since their first appearances in each games.

  • Candy (Rufus's girlfriend)
  • Damnd/Trasher (One of the bosses from Final Fight)
  • Edi E. (Corrupt policeman and one of the bosses from Final Fight)
  • Effie (Necro's girlfriend from Street Fighter III)
  • Geki (One of the non-playable fighters from the first Street Fighter)
  • Go Hibiki (Dan's father)
  • Hoimei (One of the characters who appeared in Yun's ending)
  • Keith Wolfman (Delta Squad leader from Street Fighter II. He assisted by Lita Luwanda, Matthew McCoy, and George Ginzu which is similar to R. Mika)
  • Mary (Chun-Li's friend who appeared in Chin-Li ni makase China)
  • Mike Haggar (Since he appears in MVC3 and the latest MVC: Infinite as a playable crossover character, but he had never been playable in Street fighter games)
  • Philippe (Clown ringmaster and one of the bosses from Final Fight 2)
  • Reiko (Chun-Li's friend who appeared in Chin-Li ni makase China)
  • Retsu (One of the non-playable fighters from the first Street Fighter)
  • Shaomei (One of the characters who appeared in Yang's ending)
  • Sheng Long (Ryu and Ken's master and a brother of Akuma who intended to be an April Fool's character)

NOTE: I removed Joe and Lee from my idea list since I did not include Mike because we already have Balrog and Ed already in the game.

Returning characters (Those aren't DLC, but they will be only featured if Capcom is making Super/Ultra Street Fighter V)

Returning from the spin-off games

  • Sawada (He never been appeared in other street fighter games since he is last playable in SF: The Movie game)
  • Shadaloo Monitor Cyborg (He never been appeared in other street fighter games since he is last playable in SF II: The Interactive Movie)

Returning from the pre-SFIV games

  • Eagle
  • Gill
  • Ingrid
  • Maki
  • Necro
  • Oro
  • Q
  • Remy
  • Twelve

Returning since Ultra Street Fighter IV

  • Abel
  • Adon
  • Blanka
  • Cody Travers
  • C. Viper
  • Dan Hibiki
  • Dee Jay
  • Dudley
  • E. Honda
  • Elena
  • El Fuerte
  • Fei-Long
  • Gen
  • Gouken
  • Guy
  • Hugo Andore
  • Makato
  • Poison
  • Rolento
  • Sagat
  • Sakura
  • Sodom/Katana/Sai
  • T. Hawk
  • Yang
  • Yun

From other Capcom games

  • Momotaru (With new look instead of the one from the SFV concept art)
  • Batsu (Since Sakura made her crossover appearance in Rival Schools game)
