You know the drill.

 1. I'm an admin, so if you have concerns or questions, message me or any other admins. I'm also a busy SOB, so be patient now.
 2. Keep it below the line, for the sake of keeping messages together. New messages at the bottom.
 3. Sign, sign, sign your posts. Always end your message with four tildes, or some other form of identifier.
 4. I occasionally post replies here, so you /may/ wanna keep tabs on this page if you're expecting a response from me.
 5. View my old talk page messages if you're really interested in that sort of thing.

Keep it classy.

Re: Somewhat pressing matters... Edit

Well, for the characters, some of them have been around for 25 years and some for only 2-5, so the information available is going to differ. Ryu and Ken will have story retcons aplenty, and an evolution in their moveset, whereas C. Viper is going to have less of that, and Rufus none at all. Additionally, some characters are kind of standalone in their story (does Q have anything to do with anyone? No) whereas others will be very interconnected (Chun-Li has made friends and enemies of most of the cast through various interactions). And then there's the fact that as a wiki, people will be more inclined to contribute to pages of their favorite characters, in the area they're interested in. So it's unsurprising that the articles are a bit varied.

The Manual of Style seems to be good... I can't think of anything off-hand to add to it.

I've made runs through images in the past, but I dunno how much time I have for it at the moment.

Articles on staff are a great idea, so long as they don't become opinion pieces, and so long as the articles sticks to points of actual notability. Talking about Ono being a notorious troll would be bad.

--Evilsbane (talk) 15:55, January 6, 2014 (UTC)

Well, the entire discussion itself technically contributes to developing the manual of Style, just to be clear. I was simply wondering if you had any ideas of your own.
Also, I'm not talking in terms of information, I'm well aware of that disparity; I'm referring specifically to how it's arranged, not to mention the "ripping from Wikipedia" thing I've noticed. The real question I'm asking is this: which character's article do you think is the highest quality?
As for staff articles, I'll also note that in the Manual of Style, though I would've loved to include Ono's poking beehives. ;[ In all seriousness, though, I'll be sure to enforce a standard of objective writing (though some vandal types will inevitably skip that memo. Thanks so much! Lord Grammaticus (talk) 16:06, January 6, 2014 (UTC)

Awesomo's responsesEdit

About character article standards, nothing really comes to mind. As long as we agree on a universal arrangement for every character, I'm fine with that.

The Manual of Style... I'd like it if you would include my notes from the Community Messages (and it was in your previous talk page). It went like this:

A few rules to keep things tidy here:
 • Please do not use foreign codes. Only use the bold, italic, internal link and other codes found here.
 • When linking to a series article, please write it out like this:
 • When linking to a character's article while using a possesive, please write it out like this:
 • When dealing with katakana, put spaces in between words. For example:

Even though I'm not that comfortable with uploading images (if I was, I would upload an animated GIF for Tenma Shurettou, Urien's taunt, etc.) ...I can definitely help with marking and deleting unneeded images.

I'm fine with articles on staff. It does sound like a great idea, though that will take a lot of time.

General Awesomo (talk) 22:05, January 6, 2014 (UTC)

I'll add all that shortly, thanks!
As for marking images, how soon do you think you can start on that? Making space and uploading new images are the same in terms of priority for me right now, so just mark the ones you're 100% sure we don't need when you get around to it; if you're not sure, I'll see if I can't devise a workaround.
Per staff articles, I'm willing to take that time, though I'll have to do it article b article just to be safe. Thanks, man. Lord Grammaticus (talk) 22:19, January 6, 2014 (UTC)

Scratch that. I've learned that the Japanese language actually doesn't use spaces in between words. At most, they might use an interpunct to seperate words. But that's optional, so we should just write them the way they're presented in games, manuals, etc. I'll revert those changes to the pages that I've added spaces to the katakana. Done. General Awesomo (talk) 20:42, January 23, 2014 (UTC)

Understood, updating manual. Lord Grammaticus (talk) 20:42, January 23, 2014 (UTC)

Juli Edit

Yeah, sorry about that one. The edit looked weird because it was just abbreviated as "WWE". I thought it was a joke edit because I thought it meant "World Wrestling Entertainment" LOL. General Awesomo (talk) 18:36, January 19, 2014 (UTC)

Vandal Edit

Eh, sometimes when I use rollback it doesn't work as intended. But I'll keep those two options in mind, thanks. Btw, why do you start brand new sections with "Re: "? General Awesomo (talk) 18:38, January 19, 2014 (UTC)

See, I thought it was from emailing. But "Re:" usually only pops up automatically in the subject when you're replying back. General Awesomo (talk) 20:53, January 20, 2014 (UTC)

What? No!Edit

Dan is NOT a comic relief character. Maybe he used to be, but he isn't anymore. He is a solid fighter. It dosen't matter if he is weak. Weak does not make him comic relief.

Why the heck are you implying that Dan CAN'T do thing intentionally? He IS a human being y'know. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Heatlineheard (talkcontribs)

Alright, cool it with the fanboying.
 1. While Dan is indeed more "serious" and in recent incarnation, his characteristics indicate that he is still intended to be a comic relief character by design, status as a more playable and solid fighter notwithstanding.
 2. There is absolutely nothing concrete OR outside of pure assumption to indicate he did it on purpose, plus his screaming kinda fouls that theory.
 3. Yes, he's a human being. He's also a fictional character in a video game series, so I'm not sure what you're trying to prove.

Lord Grammaticus (talk) 21:31, January 20, 2014 (UTC)

Fanboying? Dude, you can cool it with the arrogant cockiness cheers very much.

Because he is goofy that makes him comic relief? What is it with you and this comic relief thing? Does that make Rufas comic relief to?

Yeah. And there is nothing but outside of pure assumption to indicate that Makoto punches people's balls. But people choose to beileve that's what she intended to do.

Again with the cool guy attitude. What i'm SAYING is Dan can do whatever he wants to do. Because he is "comic relief" doesn't mean he can't do serious stuff.

Whatever bro. Sighing dosen't exactly help you improve my view towards you. I'm amazed how you're an admin.—Preceding unsigned comment added by Heatlineheard (talkcontribs)

This would be a good time to read up on Dan's design, origins, and the roles he usually plays in the games. It's pretty clear what the developers meant him to be. Plus, you're the only one assuming that comic relief characters are completely incapable of being serious at all ever. It's bad form to try and put words in my mouth based off a few edits of an article.
And yea, Rufus can be considered comic relief; again, look at his design, particularly his penchant for mistaking people for Ken who look nothing like him. It's not hard to guess how that was intended to be taken. Lord Grammaticus (talk) 22:25, January 20, 2014 (UTC)
Okay. Sure.
You can remove my idiotic fanboying from this page if it makes you feel any better.
Look man. I just don't like being partronized. But we're done now. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Heatlineheard (talkcontribs)

Right, then. I'm sorry if I did come across as patronizing. But what's important is that the issue's resolved. Lord Grammaticus (talk) 09:18, January 21, 2014 (UTC)

Re: Re: Shin Akuma Edit

I'm a little against that movement. If that were the case, where would you draw the line in which form gets to be included in Akuma's page? I would keep just the canon things in Akuma's page, and keep Cosmic Akuma in Shin Akuma's page.

Alternatively, we could rename Shin Akuma to something that would connect all the different forms of Akuma... like "Akuma Forms." That might make it a bit more fair to the more wayward (straying away from the canon Shin Akuma from the main series) forms like Cyber Akuma and Cosmic Akuma. And it may be easier for readers to go along with all this.

I hope I'm not just rambling lol. General Awesomo (talk) 23:37, February 4, 2014 (UTC)

Makes sense. To be fair, the Cosmic Akuma section has just as much a place in the article as the rest of the "canon" stuff (I say that in scare quotes because I don't think we have to call stuff non-canon necessarily to distinguish it from the main series).
In any event, I'll just port the information to the Akuma page and keep its place on Shin Akuma's. In the event it is copied word for word from somewhere, I'll also reword it as needed. Lord Grammaticus (talk) 00:01, February 5, 2014 (UTC)

Redirects, Armor Break and an Idea for a Split Template. Edit

Hey man, I have a little question. Why do you prefer redirects over directly linking to a certain subject? An example would be having it say Armor Break and link it to Super Armor instead of Armor Break and have it link directly to Armor Break? With just a few more coding, the second method takes you exactly where you need to go. Maybe Armor Break was a bad example since the Super Armor page isn't that big to begin with, but it is the most recurring example.

Speaking of Armor Break, should we create a page for it? Or maybe just a category will suffice? With Ultra Street Fighter IV and its Red Focus Attack coming around the corner, I think we should make it a point to let readers know which moves are Armor Breakers.

Also, I have an idea for the split template you mentioned in an edit summary. I think it would be cool if we have an animated Misogi sprite to indicate the split. Just a little funny thought I had.General Awesomo (talk) 03:27, February 11, 2014 (UTC)

Well, in the case of Armor Break, it's a direct link to the same thing, but with less of a need for specifics. (in short why link directly to a specific article section when redirects do that for you?)
I'm not quite savvy in regards to how Red Focus will work EXACTLY, but I do think it may be time for Armor Break to get its own page soon, if not now. As for the category, that's a definite go ahead, all things considered.
And a Misogi isn't the visual that'd drive the template's purpose home, though it is an amusing thought like you said. FFVAExdeathmenu Lord G. matters. Talk to me. FFVAExdeathmenu 04:47, February 11, 2014 (UTC)

Re: Re: Armor Break Edit

 1. Sounds like a good idea. Alternatively, maybe an animated Gadoken sprite or a still of Sagat's SSFIIT ending where he's doing a finger push-up. Here:
 2. Kazegiri in Street Fighter III: Third Strike Online Edition and Street Fighter X Tekken, Kazekiri in Super Street Fighter IV. General Awesomo (talk) 01:39, February 12, 2014 (UTC)

Adoption Edit

Well, I don't lay claim to the wikia as being exclusively mine... would do you think would be best? --Evilsbane (talk) 02:03, February 12, 2014 (UTC)

I'd say me, but that's horn-tooting in my opinion, even though I'd love to adopt this wiki considering what I've contributed...

I'll ask Awesomo if he's interested. FFVAExdeathmenu Lord G. matters. Talk to me. FFVAExdeathmenu 03:36, February 12, 2014 (UTC)

Re: Adoption and foundership Edit

Hmm, I don't know much about adopting wikis, though there is a first for everything. However, I think you are the most qualified. I'll gladly be the Urien to your Gill, lol. General Awesomo (talk) 05:14, February 13, 2014 (UTC)

Yeah, that isn't remotely foreboding at all. :B I'll go through with it, then. FFVAExdeathmenu Lord G. matters. Talk to me. FFVAExdeathmenu 05:34, February 13, 2014 (UTC)

About attacks that "break the armor"Edit

Howdy, Grammaticus! How've been ya? Glad to see you help me refine the proper grammar in my editions, but there's a small bother that must be explained right now: everytime I see about a move that has the armor breaking property, I put the correct armor break link, as you can see right here, simply in order to spare the "wiki engine" from the obligation of doing unnecessary or redundant redirects. It's just the way I know to make your SF Wiki even better, even if it's just a small-time change. If there's any issue about this, contact me and let's discuss it fairly! His unnecessary edits Edit

Hello LG, I think you gonna have to block or at least try talking to AlexTheChamp as he continues with his nonsense edits for no apperant reason. -- 16:38, February 17, 2014 (UTC)

Unofficial art Edit

Please be aware that unofficial art/fanart/etc. is not allowed on the mainspace. And that is and unofficial artwork is something I commissioned on Deviantart over 2 years ago and I don't want it on the site.

Why is Hitenryu Fei Long's fighting style? Official Capcom site says it is Kung Fu (カンフー)

Character and sprites galleries Edit

Hi, I'm AWC 79 (though sometimes that number will change). I created the character gallery page for the images of Cammy and the sprite gallery pages for Blanka and Ken.

I hope its alright, I did it because I believe the playable SF characters articles (mainly the ones that have maybe one too many images) would benefit from this since the images and especially the ones with 2D sprites takes a lot of data from the articles. My suggestion is this, making more character images galleries and sprite galleries. :) -- 17:48, February 26, 2014 (UTC)

Alright then. I was thinking concerning the characters with a lot of images in their gallery section, we could add that...well, I'm not sure what it is called again but is that thing you just added for Cammy and Ken, in which you can scroll down and up. I always found that one looking good and I noticed some few other characters (Adon and Alex to name a few) having this for their gallery section.-- 05:26, February 27, 2014 (UTC)

Main Page spiff Edit

Hi, Lord Grammaticus!

I was cruising and along and bumped into the site :) I was wondering if you might be interested in a spiff of the main page at all? I'd essentially be keeping what's there as much as possible but tweaking things like the slider to be up to date, shrinking the current events section, and doing things like potentially adding a pic gallery and videos. I also noticed the site doesn't have a background - I'd be happy to work on one if you'd like.

Let me know if you're interested!

Best regards, Raylan13@Wikia (talk) 21:20, March 5, 2014 (UTC)

Not a problem ;) I'll get started right away. Raylan13@Wikia (talk) 21:30, March 5, 2014 (UTC)
I should be finished now. The only thing I didn't leave intact was the News section; I added the official Street Fighter FB page instead, which will keep new information (and news) currently displayed rather than having to manually update a template. Raylan13@Wikia (talk) 23:02, March 5, 2014 (UTC)

Adoption Edit

It looks like you've discussed the proposition with Evilsbane and no other bureaucrats have been on for ages. Only you and General Awesomo are the active admins, and it looks like he wouldn't have any issue with it. Though it's incredibly rare, let me see if I can speed the process for you. Raylan13@Wikia (talk) 23:28, March 5, 2014 (UTC)

After discussion with the team responsible for these things and after reviewing the convos you've had with those mentioned above, you have been promoted to bureaucrat ;) We pulled a little Hadoken move for you. Raylan13@Wikia (talk) 23:39, March 5, 2014 (UTC)

The Joudan Sotogeri from the "unknown game" pic. Allowed? Have you seen the site?

WHY did you delete the category "Main Characters"??

Huh, maybe this category was unneccesary or a category simialr to it already exist.

If it is not from the reasons above, dunno then.

Re: USFIV Edit

Oh trust me, I've been keeping watch over all the change builds (with displeasure as to what they're doing with Vega). I'll try my best if I can. There might be one more change when Decapre comes around. I don't agree with how late they introduced her, little to no hands-on feedback from the fans.

Btw, I don't know if you play the SFIV series, but how are you liking Ultra? Regarding Vega, I feel they could've added one more buff to Vega to help him not struggle. And it wouldn't be too much for him, like what they did with the NEC'14 build.

But I am looking forward to new EX Red Focus Attack combos, s***ing on my friends with Vega's improved Super Combo (if I have the meter, and with Vega... eh), and trying out Hugo and Decapre. General Awesomo (talk) 20:58, April 13, 2014 (UTC)

And the new modes are great! Online Training from SFxT and the "new" stages are nice additions. General Awesomo (talk) 21:12, April 13, 2014 (UTC)

Fighting game footer Edit

You may be familiar with the Wikia Gaming Footer, it's a template you can add to the bottom of the main page that works as a sort of link exchange. I've been thinking of making a new footer to connect all of the fighting games on Wikia. Would you be interested in including it on this wiki? -Q*terplx (talk) 18:15, April 23, 2014 (UTC)

Here is the template, if you decide to use it, just add to the front page and I will add Street Fighter. -Q*terplx (talk) 07:20, April 24, 2014 (UTC)

Hey man. I know you might be busy nowadays. But I've checked out the template and determined that it's a good idea. I've went and added this template to the main page. General Awesomo (talk) 02:54, May 6, 2014 (UTC)

Re: Voice ActorsEdit

Sorry for the late reply

1. My knowledge of the Street Fighter series, like most Capcom properties, is for the most part limited to the auditory department (music, sound effects, voice actors), so I won't be of much help in the grand scheme of things. Knowing that Japanese versions of games exist and having the initiative to seek them out is probably my one distinguishing feature (as displayed by the additional Pocket Fighter voice info).

2. Tessa's existence is basically the extent of my knowledge of that game. Sorry.

3. Unlike SNK where certain actors are primarily defined by the characters they voice, I cannot say the same is true for the majority of Street Fighter.  The only time I would say an article is warranted is for the earlier games (Street Fighter - Street Fighter: The Movie), but only because the voice cast is in-house Capcom staff that are known first and foremost for other roles in those games (ex. Eri Nakamura (female SFII voice [Chun-Li and Claw yell]) is known best as character designer Erichan). In my opinion I feel the sidebar voice information does the job adequetely, making the creation of separating VA pages redundant and ultimately fruitless at this point. Hey there Lord Grammaticus,

Just wanted to say hi and see if you had any interest in participating in one of Wikia’s Guided Tours. “What the heck is a Guided Tour?” you ask? Good question. Put simply, it’s an article where admins from various Wikis describe their fandom to people who might not know anything about it. Here’s an example for you to check out:

Think of it as an entryway for people looking to get into the stuff you enjoy. In this case, we’re highlighting Fighting games, and we think you’d have some great input to offer. Anyway, please let me know if you’re interested when you get a chance, and thanks for all your contributions!

Hey Lord Grammaticus! Doug from Wikia's Community Development Team here! Just wanted to stop by and let you know that we're running an intensive Fighting Game Character Bracket Tournament in celebration of EVO 2014. Re: Re: Wiki links Edit

While I admit the hover-over text is a small part of it, I feel this is a small, easy change that I think users can get behind. External links are there for a reason and it's made even easier in visual mode. If I remember correctly, some external links have been used before I came onto this wiki. So now it's all a matter of keeping a consistency here. General Awesomo (talk) 13:40, August 6, 2014 (UTC)

Both fair points, though that was also before I properly learned the interwiki formatting. As for ease, while I don't mind that at all, I also think users have to learn how to work around things in the event Visual mode gives them some sort of trouble.
As for consistency, I'm all for that; I make changes where I see the opportunity to, though of course I'm not always on, so... really, we just have to pick a style to agree on at this point. --FFVAExdeathmenu Lord G. matters. Talk to me. FFVAExdeathmenu 13:49, August 6, 2014 (UTC)
It's simple.
If it's in our wiki, use internal links
E.g., General Awesomo.
If it's from somewhere else, for example a different wiki or Wikipedia, use external links.
E.g., [ Mega Man].

Akuma's Signature Move Edit

I've noticed in a couple of pages (although I'm not going to name any names at the timebeing) that you called Akuma's signature super "Raging Demon", although Shun Goku Satsu should be translated to "Instant Hell Murder". I really shouldn't be commenting on peoples' pages, but don't you think (per se, Satsui no Hado) that you could replace "Raging Demon" with "Shun Goku Satsu" instead? Sorry if I had to bother you, but even though your Wiki might call it "Raging Demon", it will ALWAYS be called the "Shun Goku Satsu" by myself.

I apologize if I wasted your time with this message.
- Vesther (talk) 13:36, August 21, 2014 (UTC)

Yeah, no. What you prefer to call it doesn't make too much of a difference, unfortunately. Plus, the games have used both names so that's a moot point. --FFVAExdeathmenu Lord G. matters. Talk to me. FFVAExdeathmenu 10:59, August 22, 2014 (UTC)
Plus it's also an unwritten rule that we try to use the move's latest localization. The move is called Raging Demon in the Street Fighter IV series, so we use that. General Awesomo (talk) 17:33, August 22, 2014 (UTC)

Not going to start an argument but seeing as she mixes her Tae-kwon-do with Ki attacks already makes it a style of her own. Thus, meaning she modified it herself to combine two things she had to make one deadly style. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Heatlineheard (talkcontribs)

I'm gonna need you to remember sign your posts.
Also, the Feng Shui engine implanted in her head is responsible for her energy-based abilities as a whole, and kinda throws a spanner into that logic in my opinion. And as stated by my edit summaries in recent changes, "self-modified" is a dubious-at-best distinction that's also misleading: all fighting styles have to be tailored to the user's liking to some degree, and more relevant to the matter is how Capcom stylizes certain fighting styles. Generally, my stance is to avoid adding that to the infotable unless it's mentioned specifically in reliable sources. --FFVAExdeathmenu Lord G. matters. Talk to me. Vocie actors articles Edit

This is just a thought but I was wondering if is possibly a good idea to create articles for almost all (or at least as many as we can) the voice actors involved with the SF series. I first thought about it when I made an edit in one of the VA articles on Tekken wikia and I have seen before that this wikia have some few articles for actors (which the TK wikia also have) so I thought why not VAs as well?

I also think there are some editors who would be happy adding info to their favorite voice actor(s). It's just a idea that I thought could be at least considered though so its alright if its not gonna happen.-- 04:46, September 6, 2014 (UTC)

I think I already mentioned that in the Community Mesages section (check Wiki Activity). There's already plenty of redlinks for voice actors so go right ahead. --FFVAExdeathmenu Lord G. matters. Talk to me. FFVAExdeathmenu 17:45, September 6, 2014 (UTC)

Oh! Oh right then, I honestly fail to notice almost all time that the Community Messages are right there on my face when I'm on Wiki Activity, lol. :P -- 04:13, September 7, 2014 (UTC)

Juri hates children. Edit

By Makoto's I meant Ibuki....Sorry bout that. Still.....There is quite a lot to prove that she dosen't like it.....The kid being spared, Ibuki, she also seems to be less of a dick when winning against teens.

Re: Re: Omega Street Fighter IV Edit

Yes, I'm pretty hype for Omega Mode too! Although I'm not sure about if we should really change up move pages and create new move pages. That would be a lot. I was thinking alternatively we could create a page for Omega Mode and list of the changes.

In addition, we could make a "list of moves" page for the mode, like this. Or even just add an "Omega only" section to the existing movelist page. General Awesomo (talk) 05:28, November 12, 2014 (UTC)

Yeah, you're right. And in the long run, having separate pages would help when linking to the moves in other pages. General Awesomo (talk) 20:33, November 13, 2014 (UTC)

Ok, now I know that. Thanks for telling me about it. --Rare Hunter (talk) 09:53, December 11, 2014 (UTC)

Character Infobox Edit

I edited it so that the small image is not mandatory. Should work well, but let me know if it doesn't. I did that for Kevin Straker's page.--Gobi-Aoi 02:47, December 14, 2014 (UTC)

His videos Edit

Wikia user BlakeSanden continues to post several of the same(?) Guile videos again in other blogs. I'm afraid he is not planning to stop spamming anytime soon.-- 15:04, December 20, 2014 (UTC)

Sigh, its no use, he just doesn't get it. I'm afraid that this calls for a block.-- 03:35, January 5, 2015 (UTC)

I'll make that call, thank you. --FFVAExdeathmenu Lord G. matters. Talk to me. FFVAExdeathmenu 23:34, January 7, 2015 (UTC)
Right, he hasn't spammed his videos elsewhere, and he's kept it to his userspace, so he clearly read the messages I left him. While I would personally hope he try editing the articles at some point, there's nothing particularly block-worthy (if at all) about him showing off his videos on his blog. --FFVAExdeathmenu Lord G. matters. RE: Vandals Edit

"Assume good faith", so it says, but it was pretty clear for me this whole edition which just added a miserably wrong punctuation couldn't by an "accident".

Nevertheless, I do understand the relevance to the welfare of the wiki's community. Even though I know they really are of that nature, I will proceed that way in the future. --Rare Hunter (talk) 02:16, December 23, 2014 (UTC)

I dunno man, it seems awfully too easy to read into the whole "not an accident" thing, sinve I've made worse mistakes myself on accident, and I've yet to see a wiki suffer for presence of misplaced periods, but whatever. --FFVAExdeathmenu Lord G. matters. Characters category Edit

Sorry to bother you again, but it seems that one category has now no pages in it anymore. --Rare Hunter (talk) 02:22, December 23, 2014 (UTC)

In which case just leave it be; the description should be blank already. I could delete the article, pointless though it would be. --FFVAExdeathmenu Lord G. matters. Talk to me. FFVAExdeathmenu 22:52, December 23, 2014 (UTC)

"The Child" page Edit

Hey. I saw recently that you deleted the page on the Bandaged child that I created.

Please hear me out. I made this one for a reason.

I honestly don't think that he/she is a "one-off" character. If Capcom made a character shrouded in mystery with the ability to control Psycho Power and that Balrog could possibly take him/her under his wing then i'd expect them to keep the character going instead of just dusting him/her under the rug for no reason.

I wouldn't be surprised if I saw him/her again in SF5.

The same goes with Mel. How come NPC characters are unable to have seperate pages to thenselves anyway?

Either way, I would ask you to recondisder the deletion seeing as such a charcter with a mere "one-off" status would not have been given such a profound and mysterious character and background for no reason whatsoever. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Heatlineheard (talkcontribs)

Right, then. If you reread the deletion log carefully, I've stated that Capcom has yet to do anything with them; we don't know if they'll be of any importance yet, and it'd be wiser to wait and see rather than presume too much

IMO the "Psycho Power" exhibited could be practically anything; while it makes the most sense, it's not something that can be claimed with 100% certainty based off one appearance. As for their gender being a mystery, it seems kinda... iffy to note that, especially where it has little relative bearing on anything.

Moving on, the article is... Balrog's ending. That's it. The bulk of the article is basically describing his ending in SSFIV, which could be done in the proper section on Balrog's article if it hasn't been already.
Next, you're also presuming that I'm against NPC articles somehow, which isn't remotely true - just ask Mel's mom and Chun-Li's dad, among others. There's also a list for minor NPCs who lack the info to really build a proper article on them. That brings me to my next point: the deletion was based on their impact in the games' storyline (or lack thereof, in this case).

While there's nothing saying the mysterious child won't somehow become important in the future, as it stands now there's just not enough to go on for them to get an article by themselves yet. --FFVAExdeathmenu Lord G. matters. Talk to me. FFVAExdeathmenu 01:03, December 30, 2014 (UTC)

Hi LG. Just wanted to mention that the SF: World Warrior Encyclopedia (the Hardcover version) refer to the child as male ("Bandaged Boy", page 138). Should the 'name' of this child be changed in the NPC article? Or atleast make a note of it?-- 10:28, May 11, 2015 (UTC)

Hello, reporting anon 109 for removing images and adding/creating false information (minus Pullum's appearance I think).

Also reporting anon 96 for sometimes changing official stats. Thanks.-- 15:52, January 25, 2015 (UTC)

I'm afraid there is also this user User:Richard Ul, which although in the past proved to have knowledge on how to upload imganes correctly (File:KyleTravers FinalFightStreetwise.jpg), has recently been dedicated to overwrite several times existing files in the wiki by updating them with new images without any relation at all to the original file (File:Image.jpg?action=history).
He even continued the same conduct ruining the very same wikia file after he was advised about its wrong proceeding (User_talk:Richard_Ul?diff=103909&oldid=103512, Richard Ul uploaded a new version of "File:Image.jpg"). --Rare Hunter (talk) 19:01, January 25, 2015 (UTC)

What do you think of the quotes between Balrog and Dudley in Super Street Fighter IVEdit

I'm gonna add up more from the rival battle between Dudley and Balrog in Super Street Fighter IV. Everytime during the first round Balrog is the first one who speaks before attacking him first. Then, some of Dudley's quotes are a few when I watch in youtube either the youtube users Rodriguezjr's or Innocentsinful's. I think I might put some in Balrog's quote in the rival battle in Dudley's quote.

Idea Edit

I thought about organizing the images on the pages of the characters in USF4 the way that all the USF4 character select portraits get into the small avatars/icons above the infobox from here, and the official art of each character becomes the large-sized image in the infobox. Whatcha think?

Yeah, sorry I couldn't stick around, but real-life obligations took priority as always. You know how it is.
Regarding the USFIV page idea, run it by General Awesomo as well. Seems decent enough (though I'll give it more thought when this brain lag subsides). --FFVAExdeathmenu Lord G. matters. Talk to me. FFVAExdeathmenu 15:48, March 22, 2015 (UTC)

Probably something I'd file under "none of our damn business". :u
Honestly, while I am wondering where he's been, it might be something beyond his control keeping him from logging on (sorta like it was with me). Perhaps he has some personal business to tend to - whatever it is, I wish him luck with it. --FFVAExdeathmenu Lord G. matters. Talk to me. FFVAExdeathmenu 16:11, March 22, 2015 (UTC)
Alright, and don't you think I could get into those page improvements only with your permission? Since I am spending my time here on the wiki I've made a lot of improvements like utilising Nihongo templates, adding character entry scene quotes or adding damage to Supers and Ultras as well as adding their quotes, and there wasn't a single idea of mine he did not support. --Sakiavatar Saki (talk) 16:49, March 22, 2015 (UTC)

Re: Icons Edit

I discovered that the images on EventHubs were edited by someone by hand, their shape is not always square, and sometimes there's more transparent background behind them than in other cases. Since I am a modder of the game on PC, I've managed to extract image files from the game's files, and they are all with a black background, and they are all in 1024x1024. It would be hard to remove all the black stuff, which I did not do, and even before a lot of characters had nearly the same images, but with a grey background. They weren't transparent either.

So far I didn't manage to find those little icons you can see on the character select screen. Indeed, those would fit better. --Sakiavatar Saki (talk) 18:45, March 22, 2015 (UTC)

Just visit the Japanese SFIV sites, you should be able to find some. --FFVAExdeathmenu Lord G. matters. Talk to me. FFVAExdeathmenu 18:48, March 22, 2015 (UTC)

I found them in the files!!! They all look like this, they all have that black background and all are in 64x64. Dcpcharselect --Sakiavatar Saki (talk) 18:58, March 22, 2015 (UTC)

Nice. I'll see if I can't put them together with the little borders and make them transparent. You should try that too, if you can. --FFVAExdeathmenu Lord G. matters. Talk to me. FFVAExdeathmenu 19:27, March 22, 2015 (UTC)
I actually prefer the images we have right now :/ The full character select images. --Sakiavatar Saki (talk) 19:35, March 22, 2015 (UTC)
Then just do what you can with them. I'll deal with this more in-depth when I'm mentally capable of it. --FFVAExdeathmenu Lord G. matters. Talk to me. FFVAExdeathmenu 20:42, March 22, 2015 (UTC)

Votaw's categories Edit

Some vandalism troll is making and adding all these completely useless categories to most of the character articles and even some wikia users. I have added the delete template on most of these categories and will continue to do so if I found anymore but its too much to handle on my own. Also, some of the character articles (M. Bison, Dhalsim, Hakan, Evil Ryu to name a few) has these "mess of code Category" written at the top which I can't seem to get off by editing. Help please.-- 08:46, May 24, 2015 (UTC)

SFV CharactersEdit

I have a reliable source that talks about two, possibly three new characters, and at least 9 returning characters being added to the roster at a later date. Should we add those characters to the roster, or wait until they're fully released?
